Is the language technology snatching away the interpreter’s job?

What a pleasure in disguise! No body might have imagined the world to be changing so fast which has both the sweet and bitter flavors for people.
The recent news is about the technology invented by a translation company known as My Language, having brought a new evolution in the world of language translation industry.

The main special feature of this technology is its ability to translate what you say in the native language using the local slang of the region you are traveling. Thousands of people are engaged in this translation industry earning their daily breads; seem to be in stiff competition with the newly invented language Technology of APP that will ensure people not to depend on hired translators or language interpreters every time they travel abroad. This is promulgating its waves every where giving sweet surprises to people who are very tech friendly by nature.
Sadly, this new invention will lead to the reduction of various job opportunities that are supposed to be for people learning or earning high degree of expertise from hundreds of educational institutions.

However, the bright side of this innovation is the avid travelers can no longer have to pay for hiring linguist during their stay in the foreign soil. The communication, from asking simple query like asking for glass of water or way to sitting and discussing in business seminars has an immense role to play for establishing business and personal development.

The people who are handcuffed by language barrier got a thing to be happy with coming of innovative discovery in the form of APP!!!

Another addition of feature making Facebook more user’s friendly!!

Good News for Facebook lovers that soon all can see another feature included into this Social networking site. With a redesign supposed to come to this networking giant will pleasantly avail users various facilities.  The redesign seems to  work wonders as it will turn Facebook into internet’s central platform in which users can share music, News and movies with their fellows on online. In the process they do not need to leave the site every time they look what their friends are doing consuming the same media.

“Timeline” is the new profile page that will be displayed in the content which will normally pull all the media into a single place on the web. “We think it’s an important next step to help tell the story of your life”, is the remark made by Chief executive of Facebook Zuckerberg during Apple’s slickly presentations. The three key components of the timeline are the stories of the users, apps and a new way expressing the identity of a person. The beta test of the timeline has been started and hopefully be available to all within a week.

If the announcement made by Facebook sees the day light, it will only augur its increasing dominance in the market. Of course this additional feature will be of huge help and also promulgate everywhere inviting people to join the site but sadly presents stiff competition to many other Social Networking sites like Twitter, Orkut, Linkedh etc, which will be interesting to see what steps they may resort to give tough reply.

Tweet in the Indian way!!

What a pleasant surprise! Never before, but still it’s the fact. Twitter has pleasantly surprised to all with a sweet announcement to launch Hindi language service. If the micro blogging giant shows true commitment, it will have a ripple effect not only be helpful to its business expansion but also cheer up the language lovers. This is the tactic commonly followed by many business tycoons and industrialists which means localizing of language communication which will further open the door for new business venture in the targeted region. This is what the Twitter is going to do in the next coming days. India has become a huge business hub full of opportunities; it has come under the eye of the corporate world since the entire world has seen India remained unaffected by the global meltdown. This corporate giant is trying to add more flavors in its business making tweeting more Indian friendly. Along with Indians people from around the globe who have an affair with the Hindi, will definitely be happy reading every instruction in Hindi language. For getting any text converted into Hindi, users have to simply visit to Twitter’s settings page and change the language preference. Doing so, instructions of the interface will fully convert into Hindi like ‘what’s happening? to ‘kya ho rahan hain? in Devanagari script.

The future of this new venture in India by Twitter looks bright as most of the celebrities from filmy and cricketing background are already in use of this micro blogging site. So, introduction of Hindi language service will be an icing on the cake for Twitter and hopefully it will fetch a lot of compliments and best wishes from the Indians.
