The Twinkling Star

It was a spring season. Trees started getting new leaves; flowers blooming, fragrance spread everywhere. Wherever one goes, one would find plants laden with full bloomed flowers with bees buzzing around. Arun and Satish are two good friends; the way they behave with one another makes people go confused. If one hurts other, one does not take too long to reconcile. They seemed as if they have been destined only to be with another in this world. However, luck has some other ideas. There has been no single occasion where one went leaving other. With passage of time, both of them realized they have to go towards different direction as per demand of the situation they were. Before parting from one another, they discussed all their secrets and promised many things.
“Satish, I know you have given me your helping hands during all my trying circumstances, so tomorrow you are leaving me here in the village. I’m very sad that I couldn’t give you anything except my love. I wish May almighty help you in realizing all your dreams. I don’t know for whatever reason I couldn’t have the fate you have. I fully know you would become an established person one day and you will definitely be coming home carrying prestige, reputation, honor and love as well. So, if tomorrow I die, please help my children and show them good path showing your example,” Said Arun in an emotional tone.”
“Hey, what are you saying? No need to show such emotion ok! I’m gonna nowhere right; I have been with you and will be with you forever. Tell me what happened to you today!” saying Satish shook him and gave a warm hug. “Nothing, just wondering how I have to wait for again five years to see you here, even I don’t know what I will have become by then,” he further added. Next day Satish went to City for his further study after shedding tears while leaving Arun the only true friend he has ever had in his life. The fate began showing signs during all those long five years!
Arun had a marriage right two years after Satish left him. He sent him a letter mentioning everything about his wedding. Satish used to reply him saying he would come and joke with his new ‘Babhi’. It has been a long time no mutual correspondence was going on between the two. Satish was so occupied with his research works that he had little time to keep in touch. Here Arun had to work for entire day to look after his family comprised of his two kids, wife and his ailing father. He lost his mother when he was twelve years old. That year was a year of drought; crops failed to flourish and he had to borrow money from others. Day after day his Dad’s health was deteriorating, it was very hard to find job during those rainy days in the village. One day he met a man known as ‘Setji’. The man knew his condition and took no time to convince him about his drug business. He was offered certain amount of money and the only work he had to do was to keep drugs supplied by some group of people and sell them to others. Finally, he after contemplating for sometime accepted the offer.
That evening he all narrated to his wife in the evening. His wife refused it and told him to return the cash. She knew once he starts the business, he would also be addicted to it. Few days later his father passed away. Now all those people involved in the business kept visiting to his home which was not tolerated by his wife. There were always quarrels between both him and his wife. Whatever his wife earns, he takes half earned money to buy drugs to keep him satisfied. Out of frustration and depression, one day his wife took her two children to far away to a relative. While returning both the kids were crying looking their only mother leaving them behind. They both followed for some distance and her relative took away. On asking she told her relative that she had some urgent work to do and once the works get finished, he would come back to take away her children. On that evening she put kerosene oil all over to her body and burnt down herself. Looking her doing so, some neighbors rushed towards her and put off the fire. They took her to nearby hospital. Soon later her drug addicted husband reached to hospital. Next day she passed away leaving her two poignant kids behind.
One day both the kids sat under their father’s lap. They were under bright moonlight, cool breeze kept blowing. One of the kids asked his father about the twinkling star in the sky, saying, “Dad, what are these high in the sky twinkling blue, white, red and green?” He said these were the mothers of many little children like them watching them play from the sky. One day Arun went to hills to cultivate Jhum cultivation. Staying there for a couple of weeks, he fell seriously ill. One of the villagers gave him 1500 Rupees to cure his illness. But he, instead of purchasing medicine, bought drugs and some days later he also passed away. All of a sudden these two kids became orphans. Was it their sins done in previous birth or simply got irresponsible parents for their orphanage?
This year Satish successfully passed out of his course and got a lucrative job. He thought he would purchase a new lifetime gift for Arun and his wife from the very first salary he would draw. However, before that someone told him what happened to Arun and his wife and their two little children. He even knew the message that some of people in the village were looking for people who take care of orphans. Having heard the information, Satish rushed back to village and called up an urgent meeting. In the meeting he almost abused everyone about the incident. He said, “Had you all been helpful, Arun and his wife would not have done these things, shame on all of you!” saying he wiped out his slow dropping of tears. Thereafter, he started taking care of those two kids like his own children and finally established them who went on leading successful lives unlike their parents.

The impacts of Patent Dispute between Apple and Samsung!

Friends, if you are ardent followers of giant Apple and Samsung like me, you might be wondering about the firm shifting of orders for memory-chip initiated by Apple. Is it the impact of patent dispute that is reflecting into their mutual trade relation which has turned bitter?

If we are all sure of it, then of course, we can say it will escalate their rivalry into more intense. Earlier, Samsung enjoyed the providing of its services to Apple but mutual allegation to one another about the copyright that created a patent dispute has all of sudden caused bitter in their trade relation. Now the Newspapers headlines across the globe would be full of their competition for market place and patent dispute comprised of the copyrights violated by Korean company Samsung of copying the design and feels of iPhone and iPad tablet, the products of Apple. Making it more tit for tat, the Samsung Company put strong accusation saying Apple has illegally violated its telecommunications patents.

Now the interesting thing is to see who can dominate the Smartphone market globally, although the recent survey says Samsung has a slight edge over Apple. On that account perhaps, Apple is resorting to different marketing tactics and one of those under process can be considered the September-12 planning of discussing new products for which the company has dispatched invitation to the media. Amidst of the discussion it is also being buzzed Apple would launch new iPhone, a recent product.
How long their locking of horns can go? What possible consequences would it provide in the markets all over the world? However, I do feel it would be interesting to watch them creating competitive devices that would be more cost effective and user’s friendlier in an attempt to overtake one another!

Stay secured from the theft of your bike with a new technology!

A pleasant news finally for guys like you who can go extra mile when it comes to protecting your lovely bike from the theft; a technology would help you in keeping your bike fully secured and you will  no longer be the worried man looking for bike that has been stolen to some unknown location. The technology that has been developed is full of promises as it will simply prevent your bike from being stolen through SMSs given by the technology. Whatever you want to say to that protective technical product such as Tcop-bike security or anti-theft bike immobilizer.
This technology is so advanced that it is capable to protect your bike from being taken away by unknown person illegally. This innovative technology would send you SMS alert automatically when the  ignition of the bike gets on. More pleasantly surprising is the exact location of the bike taken anywhere shown by the technology when bike is lost.
So understand  the working  process of the this advanced technology:
On turning the ignition on of your bike, you will be getting SMS  alert to your mobile and in case if it is not you who has turned ignition on you can definitely reply back the SMS to the equipment that is already attached to the seat of your bike; doing so would automatically disable the ignition. Apart from that one can easily trace the location of the bike taken with this technology. So with this technology you won’t have sleepless nights  anymore!

Soon You are going to find your Thought dictating the Computer!!

Schalk shows a demonstration on how a computer algorithm can track the volume of music a person is listening to from brain waves.

A new revolutionary development in the world of technology is about to transform your dream of running your computer with your thought process without commanding with your hands. As per the paper ‘Man-Computer Symbiosis, published by one of the computer genius called J.C.R. Licklider which had outlined his long dream of the possible invention of an interactive computing leading to the development of graphical user interface.
Last week in the conference of Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Emerging Technology, another scientific genius gave his possible suggestion saying the time is not very far when people will be able to command computer and get it responded without touching a keyboard or a mouse or even speaking. He even further added as, "What I'm here to tell you is that this is not science fiction. This is an emerging reality,"
Schalk, the scientist, reasoned the slow interface as the root cause of the problem when it comes to human-computer interaction; as humans have to translate their thoughts into digital commands for making computer understand and functions as per direction or command.

In order to possibly bring it into reality the researchers who have been assigned the roles, are burning their midnight oil working with brain’s alpha waves comprising of neural oscillations with frequency around 8 to 12 Hz for rich syntactic representations creation which can be used for communicating with computers.
For convincing elaboration, Mr. Schalk had also displayed a video revealing the ways how with the use of attached electrodes to the human brain surface the computer games can be controlled by test subjects. In another demonstration it was shown how the patient shot monsters in the video game Doom using his thoughts. Using the joysticks for movement of the gun forth and back, the patient had used only his own thoughts that enabled gun shoot accurately. The genius scientist had also displayed how a computer could tell the distinctive difference of a person thinking of the sounds, "Ah" or "Ooh."

The third demonstration consisted of the detection of sound level of the music listened by a person that had been tracked moment by moment. "We're about that close." "To being able to play back the music just by listening to the brain," Schalk further added with much conviction.

See through the Walls with the New Technology!!

If you have a secret desire to see through the walls, what’s happening inside, you have pleasant news that your desire is no longer to be a distant dream any more. A huge advancement made once again by the scientists after investing their tireless efforts that have been fruitfully resulted in the form of a new technology which will help you see through the thick walls. The great landmark in the technology world have been created by the two innovative scientists, MIT’s Lincoln Lab researchers Gregory Charvat and John Peabody whose creativity can now enable you to look through the walls to the things or activities taking place on other side.
The device with an antenna comprising of an array arranged in two rows is consisting of eight elements at the top followed by thirteen elements for transmitting and certain computing equipment that entirely heaped into a movable cart. This advanced technology will be of highly friendly for many military operations if made available specifically "urban combat situations", says Charvat, project leader to a Lincoln Lab statement.

This technology stood constant with the intended result after testing for several times through solid, eight-inch-thick concrete walls. Initially, the function of the radar remained as usual like any other and waves with certain frequency emitted by transmitters remained towards the target. It was found that every time the walls being hit by waves the concrete got blocked more than 99 percent got through; it looks some efforts are still to be invested signifying it as the half battle.
Getting the bounce by waves from any targets, they have to get through the wall in order to reach the receivers of the radar. The moment receivers of radar get hit, the signal becomes 0.0025 after reduction in certain quantity.

However, as per the Charvat the loss of signal from the wall is not at all the greater challenge.
"[Signal] amplifiers are cheap," he says. The main challenge lies in obtaining speed, resolution and range which are must to get it fully operational in real time. "If you're in a high-risk combat situation, you don't want one image every 20 minutes, and you don't want to have to stand right next to a potentially dangerous building," Charvat further adds.
In this 21st century it will be a historical landmark if it becomes truly operational; its
beneficiaries must be the military communities as they will get this technology more helpful in fighting  battles. Gregory Charvat and John Peabody must be complimented for their great revolutionary invention.

Is it the Development of Technology that’s snatching the Jobs of People in USA?

The relationship between man and technology is getting sour in one of the richest countries in US. Gone are the days when people used to enjoy inventing new advanced technologies; today it turned into a great setback as the recession hit America is facing another challenge. Most of the people falling unemployed are cursing the advanced technologies which are allegedly taking away the major job opportunities of people. Earlier, more investment in technology was considered to open new opportunities as more man powers would be needed to run them but sadly, it looks derailed as the recent reports say technologies are the major factors of job crisis in USA.

In the last couple of years it has been found USA is struggling to control unemployment because of the widening gap of man and technologies. They totally mistook the improvement in technology sector would avail various jobs in the market but ironically it was not to be so. Most of the people have begun raising their eye-brows suspecting a change in the structure of labor market. In the past, there was no single evidence where the technology revolution had any negative impact over the balance of job markets.
"Labor and capital are out of sync," said Tyler Cowen, an economist at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. "It seems be a growing and strengthening trend... (and) suggests there is this longer-term structural change."

The labor market in US indicates something wrong about the economic system of America which is all about displacement of jobs from the country rather than the disappearance. Everybody would arguably agree that the development of technologies led to the shift of various jobs relating to engineering to various developing countries where there is a plenty of low costing labor force than US. Therefore, the advancement in technology sector has brought a strong challenge before the country as the technology which reduces the work force because a simple machine can do the work done by ten people which had led to the ouster of labors having no role to play in the organization. However, in order to make a balance the economy must grow at tremendous pace to meet the challenge of bringing stability in the job market in US.

Has the Indian Institute of Technology lost its Charm?

With the global market trend fast becoming more like a playground where thousands of contestants participate in the competition making the market ambience full of competitive spirit, this competitiveness has resulted both the negative and positive impacts. The recent survey by experts says they have found a declining trend in the quality equipped by students of Indian institute of technology, a reputed Indian technology institution. Whatever the markets demand from the new entrants into the job market, these skills are not found in the students which means the quality of education in the IIT doesn’t stand with the reputations it has earned so far. The mismatch between the demand and supply in the information technology world that has been found is making ugly waves everywhere creating new queries and suspicions regarding the educational system provided in the country.

No matter how brilliant the students are with good academic records around but once they jump into the job markets it has been found their academic excellence works no better. It is a subject of great concern for all; otherwise soon we are going to see our reputed institution losing its earned worldly reputation and charm across the country.
The blame game has begun which is being thrown to various private coaching institutions which is said to have polluted the smooth running of the system by feeding so called “spoon feeding”.

The entrance into this highly reputed institution is so tough that most of the students work so hard that they lose out all their energies becoming mentally fatigue; even getting into it the work pressure or load given is so heavy that students remain fully dried or out of ideas that adds more pressure driving them slowly into mental depression which result the negative impact on their work ethics. The toughness of the entrance has really worked bad that the potential and creative students find themselves derailed and their potential and creativity get lost on the way.
The students themselves are to be blamed as per the teachers of the institution saying today’s students are more engulfed by laziness; do not work as much as they are required to do so which is against the institutional law that have been tightly following a particular study procedure thus ensuring fruitful outcome from the past. In addition to it, the lack of vision in students is believed to be also contributing to their declining quality acquisition. Majority of students after firm study for three or four years divert their minds in various fields like civil services or management looking the attractive packages and facilities is also a major factor.
If the authorities of the institution want to restore the old charms and maintain the same standard they have to urgently find out certain solutions before it gets too late.
